About the Role

This role is for the security engineer who builds the fortress before the first tenant moves in. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing security practices across our entire infrastructure — from CI/CD pipelines to production environments. You won’t just respond to threats; you’ll architect systems that prevent them.

At Muse, we handle sensitive creative intellectual property for major studios and production companies. Security isn’t a checkbox — it’s a core product feature.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement security-first CI/CD pipelines across AWS infrastructure
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) with security guardrails baked in
  • Implement automated vulnerability scanning, dependency auditing, and compliance checks
  • Manage secrets, certificates, and access control across all environments
  • Lead incident response planning and conduct regular security audits
  • Work with engineering teams to establish secure coding practices and conduct threat modeling
  • Monitor and respond to security events across our cloud infrastructure
  • Ensure SOC 2 and GDPR compliance across all systems

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or security engineering roles
  • Deep expertise with AWS services (IAM, VPC, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty)
  • Strong experience with container security (Docker, ECS/EKS)
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform preferred)
  • Experience implementing CI/CD security (GitHub Actions, automated scanning)
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA)
  • Strong understanding of network security, encryption, and access control patterns
  • Excellent communication skills — you can explain security decisions to non-security engineers

Nice to Have

  • Experience securing AI/ML pipeline infrastructure
  • Familiarity with media/entertainment industry security requirements
  • Contributions to open-source security tools
  • Relevant certifications (AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, CEH)
